The year was 2014. I was stoked for my college’s pumpkin carving contest. A friend, Helen, and I picked one up for both of us from the school and started hacking away at it.
On judging day, Helen dropped off our creation. Unfortunately, they thought they’d given a pumpkin to both of us and only received one. Days later, I was charged with stealing school property.
I defended myself with photo evidence and written testimonies from classmates and professors about my character. Luckily, I was found innocent. I did not win the carving contest.
I am not a pumpkin thief, and I would love to chat.
